Valenzuela City: Through the active social services work of Councilor Kate Galang-Coseteng, we have been able to establish a training site in Valenzuela City and it has so far given employment to twenty citizens after only over a month of operation. Applicants go through a rigid screening and training provess that has now borne fruit through successful endorsements to leading call centers in the Ortigas and Eastwood areas. Operations are set to expand to a hyndred trainees per month by November and early December.

InterMedLink:We have been in partnership with InterMedLink, a company that provides employment/ placement services to nurses and other health workers locally and overseas. through our partnerships with call centers that specialize in medicine- related accounts, we have been able to train and place nursing graduates successfully into call center jobs- a suitable alternative for the thousands of unemployed health workers in the country today.

Screening: Our screening process for call center trainee candidates has been streamlined and as a result, has improved our rate of employment for our graduates by 200%. Candidates are screened through a three-step process beginning with an initial interview, followed by a written diagnostic test in English, and then by the standard Versant (Ordinate) test for qualification into the PGMA TWSP (Training for Work Scholarship Program). Vigan City Call Center Training

Nineteen (19) Bigueños (Vigan-natives) graduated last October 13, 2007 at Baluarte, Salindeg, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur under the pioneering “Train Now, Pay Later” call center training program launched by Congressman Ronald Singson himself.

The 100-hour program focused on intensive communication and soft skills training in preparation for employment in the fast-growing call center industry.

Edulynx Corporation sent its English Proficiency and Accent Coach, Koi Samontina, to stay in Vigan for three (3) whole weeks to conduct the training. “Prior to the training, I was worried that it would be difficult for me to train the Bigueños the neutralized American accent.  To my pleasant surprise most of them (trainees) acquired the accent quite naturally,” said Mr. Samontina.

The graduates were satisfied and had fun with the training. “The training is really fun and the trainers of Edulynx Corporation are really effective,” said Eddie Calizo, who was one of the graduates.

The graduates will be endorsed to different call centers in Metro Manila.
